Proverbs 22: 20-21
Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
The last week has been very busy and somewhat stressful! We have been praying for a good while about replacing our vehicle. Missionaries use their vehicles as tools to get from one place to another. We have been blessed to have had a very good car, but it was wore out. We needed to find another newer one or spend many thousand dollars to repair the one we had. God has answered our prayers and has allowed us to obtain a new car that is fuel efficient and is reasonably financially.
I have not blogged in a while, due to the process of looking for a car and seeking God's direction. The neatest part of all this is just how real the Word of God became a part of this process.
Have not I written to thee excellent things...
I have a hard time seeing how people that do not know the Lord Jesus Christ make it through the stresses and pressures of life. The grind of daily decisions and wear and tare on life is tremendous. I for one need help, I can not do it by myself. God assures us that He, Himself has written words to us. God has taken time to inscribe in his own hand a personal letter to us. I have a letter in my office that I value, it is a hand written note from a Brigadier General that was the Commander of Fort Benning. I also have a more important letter written by the General of all Generals!, The King of Kings! My Savior and Lord.
God has given me His words and they are most excellent! These words encourage, exhort, and correct me daily as I seek them and apply them to my life. These words contain excellent things! Have you found them to be excellent?
That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth;
In our present day and times, we are bombarded nonstop by news that is not uplifting. It is a stressful world and the economy is fragile. We see politicians loosing touch of reality and what is foreign to us toady is accepted by us tomorrow! No one trusts any one else. I hated dealing with the sales staff I had a feeling they would not be completely truthful in the deal we were hammering out.
God assures us that in the situations of daily life He would make us know the certainty of His words to us. I think I experienced buyers remorse before I signed the papers. I did have peace within my heart that I was doing what God would allow. I also had comfort and confidence in the Holy word of God! I have clung to the the truth in Gods word.
That thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee.
God has a one track mind! He is and has always been concerned about mankind. God allows His Holy Spirit to court men. He sets up opportunities for ALL men to have a chance to hear and experience the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. What is amazing, is that God uses men just like you and me to proclaim His word to the world! God's children have the Word of Truth so they can explain the plan of full and free salvation in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He have the Words of Truth and we need to know how to use them.
Do you know how to use the words of life? Have you spent time this morning reading the EXCELLENT THINGS!, God has written to you?

You hit the nail on the head, Bro. Bob. Men can not trust themselves or in their own means. Your van ministry has been a blessing to many servicemen and ministers of the gospel. I will ask the Lord daily to pay off the vehicle quickly.
