Nobody Knows The Trouble You'll See!

Psalm 32:10

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

As I work with soldiers, I have noticed that many of them have a bunch of sorrows. I hear them describe things that has happened to them, and things that are taking place on a daily rotation around them. As a (near) fifty year old, some of these sorrows seams trivial to me because I have passed through this type of sorrows and more that are worse.

My oldest son, called me yesterday and spoke of one of his friends that was stationed at Fort Lee, VA., who was sorrowful, he had no friends, and the Drill Instructor was mad at him (go figure!) I will look and help this young soldier find a Christian friend to help him.

It seems like when we have a sorrow, another sorrow piles on, one after another the pressure builds as we succumb to the weight it places on our life.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked:

This is God's warning flag to His children. Those that are lost should pay attention to the outcome of this prediction. For the Child of God, a fearful state awaits those that practice wickedness. For the sake of argument, we see that the word wicked in Gods eyes is any sinful act! I am not sure why, but most Christian needlessly carries their sin(s) way too long. We hang on and experience the destructive guilt that sin leaves in its wake.

The word Many = consisting of or amounting to a large but indefinite number.

The word Sorrows = deep distress, sadness, or regret. A resultant unhappy or unpleasant state. A cause of .grief or sadness.

The word Wicked = morally very bad. Disposed to or marked by mischief. Disgustingly unpleasant. Causing or likely to cause harm, distress, or trouble.

Bottom line is the closer we live in right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ the better off we will be:

But he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

This part of the verse is a sweet promise to those who trust the Lord. The word trust has the implication of a life that practices an open and honest, and close intimate daily walk with the Savour.

The word Trust = Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone.

The word Mercy = Compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one's power. Lenient or compassionate treatment. A blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion.

Why do we suffer in sorrows when we can keep our relationship open by simply confessing our sin as soon as we realize them. We need to keep short tabs and seek forgiveness often.

When I trust in the Lord, Nobody (will) Knows The Trouble You'll See!, because, God will surround you with mercy!
