Ah, Lord God!

Jeremiah 1: 6-7
Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

I do not think it matters at what age the Lord God calls you at, The response will be very familiar to the one Jeremiah expresses!

None of us are worthy or prepared to be the chosen to be the public voice of the living God. I hope and pray that the astonishment of this universal call that every Christian get will never diminish or fail.

Then said I, Ah Lord God!

Some say it is not proper for us to question God. We should just accept the situations of our life as being the will of God for us at that moment. This may be partially true, but If we approach the Lord with the right attitude and reverence, we can pour out out arguments to the Lord God.

Notice the great humility that Jeremiah uses in this verse. Jeremiah, waited to hear out the word of the Lord. He then stated the order of the conversation. In the previous verses God had called him, and now Jeremiah states his objections. The objections were legitimate and heart felt. Jeremiah, was able to see that God would meet his objections with solutions that worked.

Behold I cannot speak: for I am a child.
