1 Thessalonians 5:16
Rejoice evermore.
When I was a Pastor in Kentucky, one of the local funeral directors had a sign on her desk that read; "Any day above ground is a good day!" I found this simple sign amusing. I also find it a reminder that life is very short, and we need to be rejoicing more and complaining a lot less.
We have so much to be rejoicing about! We are saved! We get to live and dwell with Jesus Christ for all eternity!
The word Rejoice means;
To welcome. To enjoy. To be glad. To give joy to. To feel joy or great delight.
If you look at the typical Christian you will need to look very closely to find the attributes of a rejoicing soul.
Most Christians do not welcome any type of joy! It is rare to pass by a radiant, glowing Christian! We forget what is our reward! I do not see many Christians enjoy the things of God! we do not look glad about serving the Master, nor, do we try to give joy! I think some Christians thinks it is sinful to feel joy or great delight!
I want to be a joyous christian, I want to be a joy giving Christian!
The word evermore means:
Forever. Always. And the Future.
Christians! we need to get this one right! This verse is not a suggestion, it is a command! Our joy is complete! We need to be Rejoicing forever, Rejoicing always, and Rejoice all along the future!
REJOICE!..... EVERMORE!

I believe this is one reason why one Christian is more effective than another in their witness. Most Christian's act like it pains them to be happy. Who wants what they've got?
