Lift up????

Psalm 25:1
Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

The news of late has been filled with the tragedy of people loosing their jobs, homes, and possessions because of the economy. The commercials are full of schemes that bark out false promises of inflation proofing our financial futures.

These plans include; buying distressed run down property, foreclosed homes, quick no money down tricks. They want you to buy gold, silver, platinum, etc., etc... Investing in speculative interests, even bio-seeds for a victory garden.

If there is any money to be scammed off a panicked population, there is a 30 minuet info-mercial in living color on the television at unthinkable hours of the night.

The Psalmist in 10 short words, speaks comfort to my restless soul!

Unto the, O Lord!

when everything falls apart, I want satisfaction. I will return items to stores if they fail, because I want the manufacturer to make it right. The same thing is true of my complete life!, when things go wrong it is wise to return to the "Maker". I wish we had stamped on the bottoms of our feet, "If found lacking, return to maker--GOD!"

Do I lift up my soul.

It never take much stress to drop my soul to dark depression. The things of this world is a heavy weight on us, we git tired, wore out and slip. Even when we do your best to stay as close to the Lord as we can, things happen to cause us drop our eyes from the Lord that's when our soul sinks.

No one on earth will help us when we fall into the pot holes of life. We can only look up, then lift our souls to the Lord!

No wonder the writer wrote 10 simple words: Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul!
