Hear This

Psalm 49:1
Hear this, all ye people; all ye inhabitants of the world.

Have you ever been accused that you do not listen well? I have and it was true. I am working on this aspect of my own life, are you? God has issued us an order to take the gospel to the world. He has warned the people to hear! This is a matter of Eternal Life or Eternal Death!

Hear this,
It is one thing to hear the words of another You can physically hear word after word, and not understand because it does not hit our heart. I believe the Lord is asking people to listen with all the senses, God gave us ears, eyes, and a heart. We may need to touch, smell, or even experience a situation to get the full meaning to be moved within to understand the details.

All ye people;
No one is exempt. When God provided His Son Jesus Christ to become the plan of redemption for mankind he issued a decree that tells us that ALL (people) must receive and accept this one and only way to salvation. No one is exempt! As a Christian we have the honor to take the precious Word of God to those who are lost in a sea of sinfulness, needing the Salvation lifeline to rescue them from the eternal fate of Hell!

All ye inhabitants of the world.
This portion of the verse is a missions verse. It tells us that the whole world is in need of the Saving word of God. There is not one corner of this big blue ball that is not needy for a true presentation of the claims of God to save souls through the death burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only means of Salvation.


As a Christian we need to hear the Word of God, we need to make sure all people hear, and never neglect the people of the whole world!
