Great is the LORD!

Psalms 48:1
1Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

It is my prayer that anyone reading this blog will be blessed, encouraged, or challenged. I took a while off from the morning blogs to refresh and renew the reasons I am blogging. I have decided that I am and will blog for my own edification, if you are blessed that is a plus. If you read this regularly pray for me I need it!

Great is the Lord,

This year has already started off with some big testings and challenges for me and my family. I have had the gambit of emotions, been afraid, anxious, and sad! I can tell you that no matter the scope of the problems or trials we are facing, God is great! I love the little ditty of a child's prayer that starts like this: "God is good, God is GREAT, let us thank Him...!"

And greatly to praised in the city of our God,

When we take the time to look into all that the Lord God has done for us, it should arrest every thought, causing us to immediately begin to praise God. As a Christian we need to be very cautious to learn the Biblical way to praise the Lord. We need to make the time to properly enter into the city of God (Sanctuary and/or His presence). We will never give the proper praise without being in the proper relationship with God! We need to review and make any adjustments that are needed to render great praise.

In the mountain of his holiness.

Proper praise will reveal the Holiness of God to us! When we humble ourselves in His presence with praise, we ill shrink in proportion in stark realization of the ever growing mountain of God's Holiness. He is so HOLY and we are so NOT holy! We should see how Great is the Lord!
