Dear Friends,
This Blog is a little late! My wife and I have had a great day traveling around Erie, PA and the surrounding country side. I was thrilled to see the small communities that had decorated in Red, White, and Blue! The flags were flapping in light breeze, while officials were blocking off the roads to the big cemeteries where services would be held before noon.
Every VFD., we passed had a grill set out and the smells were fantastic as we leisurely meandered through the country side. I am sitting in a Panera Bread restaurant enjoying a tea and a sweet treat!
Thank God for America! Thank God for the HERO'S that payed the ultimate price to secure our freedom's. Thank God for Jesus Christ who Paid my sin debt so I can enjoy eternal freedom!
2 Samuel 7:23
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods.
1. What one nation in the earth is like thy people?
We spent an enjoyable Sunday with First Baptist Church in Corry PA. This wonderful church is a refreshing breath for the people in Western PA. They responded well to the messages and our presentation of the Ministry at Fort Benning! I have yet to be disappointed when we are with the "People" of God.
2. God went to redeem for a people to Himself.
I thank God for his redemption. I am thankful He is still in business to redeem the lost sinner to himself. I am also thankful I get to be a link in that process to bring sinners to meet the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross of redemption!
Are you thankful that God "Went to redeem you?"
3. To do for you great things and terrible,
What a blessed reminder that God has done great and terrible things in America. I realize this passage is dealing with Israel, but I see the hand of God working a close parallel.
My prayer is that we Americans TURN BACK to God in complete surrender so God can bless America once again.
If you are a veteran I salute you! If you have lost a loved one who gave their all in Military service to our great nation, my deepest sympathies, and heart gratitude for your loss! I also recognize the bravery of the men and women that protect me by way of Law Enforcement!
