Blessed be,,,

1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Hope is a very illusive thing! About the time you think you have it it is gone, and we look beyond to see hope a far off. We hope in a lot of things, We hope the woman we marry is the answer to our loneliness. We hope that our children are the answer for our shortcomings. We hope in our house that it will provide comfort and security. We hope in our jobs to bring stability and financial wealth to our pockets.

Hope is obtainable, it is freely given, it is satisfying. The hope that is offered is rewarding, is security, is comforting.

When God gives us hope, it will cause us to resound the words; "Blessed be the God..."
Hope will cause us to see just who provided it to us. God is to be blessed because He is Hope!

Hope, provided to us by the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Such a strong phrase! It is compounded to say the "Father" of! This speaks to the creator of all hope. When my family used all my name, "Robert Earl Ingram" I knew it was serious! To invoke the name "Father, Lord, Jesus, Christ" put the full weight of the God-head in our hope!

Hope provided us with His abundant mercy! More mercy than we need, or deserve. Hope in the blessing that mercy showers upon us. Hope that is better than the need, greater than the situation, more abundant than the desire.

Hope that is lively, No dead faith here! The hope that gives life, and life worth living.

Hope that is eternal, "By the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

The only way to get this hope is by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ to save our soul, and place this hope in our very soul. No wonder the writer penned the words

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
